Mini Mouls

Please note: This is the same building as Mouls Island barn so will only be available outside of the peak weeks.

We designed the barn so we can close off some of the bedrooms and the second lounge to offer a cosy alternative in the quieter months. The barn is laid out with the main living area upstairs to make the most of the sea and inland views. As you enter the property there is a slate floored entrance hall that has underfloor heating to ensure a warm welcome, leading off the hall there is a Bath/shower room, Master bedroom with en suite and a King/twin bedroom. Heading up the Oak staircase you then come into the main living area with the kitchen area to your right and the dinning/lounge area to your left. This room benefits from amazing views towards Moule island and Port Quin bay and also inland across green fields and happy animals! Outside there is a large area for bbqs, relaxing on the grass and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

Bedrooms

  • King size double bedroom with ensuite (ground floor)
  • King size or Twin bedded room with inland views (ground floor)

Bathrooms

  • Main bathroom accessed via the entrance hall with bath/shower and underfloor heating
  • Ensuite shower room with w/c wash basin and heated towel rail
  • Outside shower for a quick warm up when back from the beach or a run!

WIFI, Linen, towels and Logs are all included in the weekly rates. Please contact us for short break prices in the winter months.

Mouls Island Barn

Mouls Island Barn sleeps up to 8 persons (including infants)

Please note; on booking 50% deposit is payable, the balance is due 8 weeks before arrival along with the refundable £400 security deposit (security deposit is either paid via bank transfer or card details held if online booking system is used).

The cottage is a 5 bedroom semi detached property, converted to a very high standard form an old cows shed with great sea views over Kelland head to the North and Mouls Island, The Rumps and Port Quin bay to the West.

Please note: The barn is part of our old L shape farmyard at Trewint that we have now converted into holiday lets. The other cottages in the old yard are not accessed from the same side as Mouls barn.

Down the second staircase you can access a small cloakroom with toilet and wash basin and also the “snug lounge” which is a great place for the kids or adults to get away for a bit of TV, games or reading. There is another fireplace here for those winter nights or cosy summer evenings. The final room leading off the lounge and back door entrance is a downstairs single bedroom.

Stable Cottage

Stable Cottage is an old converted stable with many lovely features. The cottage is spacious yet cosy with two bedrooms on a single storey, you can even glimpse a view of the sea from the lounge.

Property comprises of:

Lounge/Dinning room with a wood burner, TV and DVD. Fully equipped modern kitchen.

Bedrooms:

  • Small single bedroom
  • En suite king size double bedroom

Bathrooms:

  • En-suite shower room with wash basin, heated towel rail and toilet
  • Bathroom with large bath, heated towel rail, wash basin and toilet

There are also lots of cosy features such as the exposed beams and a stone fireplace to give a really warm Cornish welcome. There is a large grassed area to the side of Stable cottage with picnic benches looking towards Port Quin bay. There is also a more sheltered courtyard area with a bench for the morning coffee just outside the kitchen door.

Courtyard Cottage

Courtyard Cottage is a lovely cornish barn that has been converted to offer a cosy and comfortable place to stay. There are sea views to towards Port Quin bay and the rumps from the stairs and master bedroom.

Property comprises of:

Courtyard cottage features a large open-plan ground floor, Open plan kitchen/lounge/dining area. Farmhouse style dinning table, Smart TV and DVD player, digital radio. There are also books and games and Wi-fi access for those occasional rainy days or chill out time.

Bedrooms:

  • King size double bedroom with fitted wardrobe, wash basin and views towards Port Quin Bay Mouls Island and the Rumps headland.
  • Large single bedroom with inland views.
  • Small single bedroom more suitable for younger children.

Bathrooms:

  • There is a good sized bathroom on the 1st floor with shower/bath, heated towel rail, wash basin and toilet.
  • There is an additional downstairs cloakroom with hand wash basin and toilet

Courtyard cottage has retained its character from when it was one of the original 200 year old farm buildings at Trewint Farm. The cottage is cosy enough for a couple but still spacious enough for 4 persons to have a great stay. In the colder months the stone fireplace with wood burner comes into its own to create a nice cosy atmosphere, Or you can relax and just turn up the central heating! The cottage has a sheltered outside area by the front door, with a picnic bench to enjoy some outside dinning or BBQ’s. There is a large shared garden with the other two cottages at Trewint, This has a few more picnic benches and some swings and a small play area for young children. The shared garden area overlooks the coast for some spectacular sunsets.

Scarrabine Farm House Annexe

Scarrabine Farm and Farmhouse has been in our family for over 100 years.  The annex  was converted from the old pigs house on the West facing side of the house. From upstairs It looks directly out at Port Quin bay. There is an outside seating area that is a great sun trap, enjoying all day sunshine. There is a short 15 min walk down to Port Quin harbour or a longer 40 min walk on the footpath to Port Isaac. The annexe is designed to be a private space with its own parking and access path. The cosy interior features and well equipped kitchen make it a great place for a relaxing stay, active break or equally a quiet romantic retreat for two persons. There is a very cosy feel to the Annexe which lots of guests come back to year after year.
